Privacy Policy

BeatBeacon (“we”, “us”) provides a heart health tracking tool built on research from BODY:LAB. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information you provide

Account details: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text), or your Google account info if you sign in with Google.
Health data you enter: sex, blood pressure, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, waist circumference, hsCRP, fasting glucose, and fasting insulin, along with the risk assessment calculated from these values and any notes you add.
Billing information: if you subscribe to the Advanced plan, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Blood test uploads

If you upload a PDF or image of a blood test to have values extracted automatically, that file is sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely to read the values off it. It is not retained by Anthropic beyond that request, and not used to train any model. CSV uploads are parsed locally and never leave our servers.

How we use your information

To run the Checker and Diary and show you your risk assessment
To manage your account and subscription
To send you account related emails, such as password resets

We do not sell your data, and we do not use third party advertising or analytics trackers.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Neon. Payments are processed and stored by Stripe under their own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated data by contacting us at info@bodylab.co.nz.
